A1GP officials have revealed today the final look of their new Ferrari F2004-based car, and in keeping with the “shark” looks of the previous-generation, Lola-built A1 machine, the engine cover has been redesigned in comparison to the Formula 1 challenger driven by Michael Schumacher to that year’s title.

A1GP Chief Commercial Officer, Scott Hollingsworth, explained the reasoning behind this: “With all the cars being identical we have flexibility to make sure we deliver our promises to both our sponsors and fans. This enlarged engine cover allows a much higher profile position, while delivering the on track performance we demand. We are working hard to make sure our commercial partners get the most out of their association with A1GP.”

The final car will be revealed at the Mugello launch on July 22, and official team testing will be held in the UK at Silverstone on 19-20 August with a second test now confirmed to take place at Donington Park on 9 and 11 September.
