Despite not being a round of the FIA World Endurance Championship, the 15th annual Petit Le Mans has attracted some key European teams that will join American Le Mans Series regulars for the 1,000-mile/10-hour enduro at Road Atlanta on Oct. 17-20.

The entry list for the ALMS and European Le Mans Series season-finale was released Wednesday, featuring 43 cars among six categories.

P1 sees ALMS regulars Muscle Milk Pickett Racing and the two-car Dyson Racing effort being joined by Rebellion Racing, which will take its third Lola-Toyota Stateside in quest of claiming overall glory in the world-renowned event.

A practice accident in last weekend's FIA WEC Six Hours of Bahrain, which damaged one of its chassis, had initially put questions on the Anglo-Swiss squad's involvement. However, Rebellion recently reaffirmed its plans, which will see Nicolas Prost, Neel Jani and Andrea Belicchi at the helm of the No. 12 Lola B12/60 Toyota.

Romain Dumas will complete the lineup in Muscle Milk's HPD ARX-03a, while Steven Kane returns to the No. 16 Dyson Lola B12/60 Mazda, rekindling the Sebring ALMS P1-class winning lineup. Dyson's year-old No. 20 entry, meanwhile, will be driven by Tony Burgess, Mark Patterson and Chris McMurry.

The P2 class sees a season-high eight entries, aided by four ELMS cars which will compete for its own championship as part of a double-points season-ending round.

Entries from Greaves Motorsport (Zytek Z11SN Nissan), OAK Racing (Morgan-Nissan), Thiriet by TDS Racing (Oreca 03 Nissan) and Murphy Prototypes (Oreca 03 Nissan) represent the European contingent.

The ELMS cars will run invisible (in points) to the four season-long ALMS entries from Level 5 Motorsports (HPD ARX-03b), Conquest Endurance (Morgan-Nissan) and Dempsey Racing (Lola B12/80 Judd).

Of note, Level 5's No. 95 entry will feature IndyCar star Dario Franchitti and his brother, Marino, joining team owner Scott Tucker, who will also drive the championship-seeking No. 055 car with Christophe Bouchut and Luis Diaz.

The highly competitive GT division sees a dozen entries, including the return of the SRT Viper GTS-Rs, which missed last month's VIR round. Jordan Taylor and Richard Westbrook rejoin Corvette Racing as third drivers, along with Martin Ragginger, who completes Team Falken Tire's lineup.

Johnny Mowlem will make his first ALMS GT class start of the year in the No. 23 Alex Job Racing Lotus Evora, while Porsche factory driver Richard Lietz completes Paul Miller Racing's lineup.

With Joey Hand on DTM duty, Jonathan Summerton is listed in both of BMW Team RLL M3 GTs. Third drivers for the remaining entries have yet to be confirmed.

The most intriguing change in GT comes with Extreme Speed Motorsports, which has entered its No. 02 Ferrari F458 Italia in the GTE-Am category, designated for ELMS teams.

The driver lineup for either of the team's Ferraris has yet to be announced. Under GTE-Am rules, only one driver can be of Platinum or Gold status in driver rankings.

ESM's No. 02 Ferrari will be joined by AF Corse (Ferrari F458 Italia) and IMSA Performance Matmut (Porsche 911 GT3 RSR) in GTE-Am, which will also be an ELMS title decider.

Eight Oreca FLM09s are represented in Prototype Challenge, while seven Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars make up the GTC category.

The Nissan DeltaWing, with Lucas Ordonez and Gunnar Jeannette, completes the 43-car field, as an unclassified entry.
