Audi Sport Team Joest heads into qualifying this afternoon in prime position for pole, following a commanding performance in Friday's final practice for the 61st Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring.

Marcel Fassler topped the time charts, turning a best lap of 1:44.315 in his 2012-spec Audi R18 e-tron quattro. The defending FIA World Endurance Champion edged out the Allan McNish-driven No. 1 Audi by 0.353 seconds.

P2 was topped by the No. 41 Greaves Motorsport Zytek Z11SN Nissan of Tom Kimber-Smith, who reeled off a blinding 1:51.521 lap time, to end up sixth overall on the time sheets.

The Level 5 HPD ARX-03b machines wound up second and third in class, led by the No. 551 machine of Ryan Briscoe.

Risi Competizione's Gianmaria Bruni posted the quickest time in GT, with the Ferrari factory driver turning a best lap of 1:59.024 in his Prancing Horse. Bruni outpaced the two Corvette Racing C6.Rs, which were second and third quickest in class.

A late flyer by Pierre Kaffer put the DragonSpeed Mishumotors Oreca FLM09 atop the time charts in PC, while Jeroen Bleekemolen led the way for Alex Job Racing in the GTC ranks.

No major incidents were reported in the 60-minute session.

Qualifying begins at 1:15 p.m. ET.
