ALMS: Dumas Quickest In Practice 2

Muscle Milk Pickett Racing topped the time charts in the second official practice session for Saturday's 15th annual Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta.
The No. 6 HPD ARX-03a of Romain Dumas rocketed to a best lap of 1:12.420 in the one-hour session, edging out the No. 16 Dyson Racing Lola B12/60 Mazda of Guy Smith by 0.83 seconds.
Nicolas Prost was third quickest overall and in P1, thanks to a 1:12.325 lap time set in his Rebellion Racing Lola B12/60 Toyota, which paced this morning's practice.
OAK Racing continued to lead the way in P2, with Olivier Pla peddling his Morgan-Nissan to a best lap of 1:13.758.
Dario Franchitti wound up second quickest, and best of the ALMS P2 entries, aboard his No. 055 Level 5 Motorsports HPD ARX-03b.
Ryan Lewis (Dempsey Racing), Joerg Mueller (BMW Team RLL), Marco Cioci (AF Corse) and Leh Keen (Alex Job Racing) led the way in PC, GT, GTE-Am and GTC, respectively.
The session saw two red flags, the first for the 66 TRG Porsche, which was high-sighted on a curb. An off-course excursion for Piergiuseppe Perazzini in the No. 60 AF Corse Ferrari, brought out the second red.
A final two-hour night practice is on tap for 7 p.m. ET.
