ALMS: Greaves Confirms Sebring Lineup

Greaves Motorsport has firmed up its driver lineup for next month’s Twelve Hours of Sebring, with the British squad confirming Monday that Eric Lux and Christian Zugel will join Tom Kimber-Smith in its Zytek Z11SN Nissan for the American Le Mans Series season-opener.
Lux, the 2011 ALMS PC class co-champion and Rookie-of-the-Year and accomplished gentleman racer Zugel are fresh off competing in this month’s Bathurst 12 Hour in a DragonSpeed-prepared Audi. Zugel also drove for Greaves in last year’s FIA World Endurance Championship.
They will be joined in the P2 class contender by three-time Le Mans class winner Kimber-Smith, who was announced earlier as a driver for the new CORE autosport Porsche in GT, which is on track to debut at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in May.
“We are delighted to retain both Tom and Christian from last year. Both are a pleasure to work with and we know that they will do a good job for us. Welcome to Eric, who will bring speed and consistency to our race at Sebring,” team manager Tim Greaves said.
“[Eric] showed in the 2012 ALMS season that he was capable of competing at the top level of prototype racing and we think that this combination of drivers will enable us to aim for the top spot in the Twelve Hours of Sebring.”
The Greaves Zytek-Nissan will reportedly run on Dunlop tires for the one-off race and is expected to be the only European entrant in the cost-capped P2 ranks.
A complete entry list for Sebring is expected to be released this week.
