While the category appears to be in question for the full season, the first team has committed to the P2 class for the American Le Mans Series season-opener.

Greaves Motorsport confirmed this week that it will take at least one of its Nissan-powered Zytek Z11SN prototypes to the Twelve Hours of Sebring, with a driver lineup believed to have already been finalized.

The British squad is officially the first P2 team to commit to the Florida endurance classic, which celebrates its 61st anniversary on March 16.

"The Sebring 12 Hours is recognized as one of the great events in motorsport and is the ideal platform for us to launch our 2013 season," said team manager Jacob Greaves. "We are looking forward to racing in Florida in March.”

The team hasn't ruled out a two-car attack for Sebring, but is dependent on funded drivers.
