His first win in Indycar racing came at Laguna Seca in 1995. That that win sparked years of success for Gil de Ferran as the Brazilian claimed two ChampCar titles and an Indy 500 win before retiring at the end of the 2002 season. With his return to the cockpit this season in the American Le Mans Series asowner/driver of the #66 Acura ARX-01b, de Ferran and teammate Simon Pagenaud quickly established themselves as a new power in the LMP2 category.

As the season comes to a close today, we were fortunate to have Gil invite SPEEDtv.com and ALMS.com viewers ride along
as practice opened in Monterey, California.
