ARCA: Indy Continues SPEED’s ARCA Racing Series Ratings Jump

SPEED’s live broadcast from Lucas Oil Raceway continued its string of across-the-board ratings increases for ARCA Racing Series coverage for 2012.
The Indianapolis event represents seven straight races with a notable ratings bumps, highlighted by summer ratings that’s included spikes at Pocono (Pa.) Raceway, Michigan International Speedway, Iowa Speedway, Chicagoland Speedway and now, Lucas Oil Raceway.
Friday’s ratings rose by +79% (0.25 vs. 0.14) in households, +183% with the key demographic of men 35-54 years of age and +633% with M18-49 (.22 vs. .03) when compared to the 2011 equivalent, a rain-delayed Pocono race that aired on a Sunday night. When compared to last year’s Indianapolis race (which aired a week earlier), it recorded a +25% (.25 vs. .20) increase in household ratings, a +113% bump with M35-54 and +175% increase for M18-49. Overall, the ARCA Racing Series is up 20% in HH (.49 vs. .41), +30% (.48 vs. .37) with M35-54 and +42% (.27 vs. .19) with M18-49.
