ARCA RE/MAX SERIES TALLADEGA RACE WINNERS
There have been a total of 29 different winners in the ARCA RE/MAX Series competition at Talladega, including multiple-race winners Grant Adcox (5), Davey Allison (4), Tim Steele (4), Charlie Glotzboch (3), Jimmy Horton (2), Ramo Stott (2), Jim Vandiver (2), Red Farmer (2), Tracy Leslie (2) and single-race winners Paul Menard, Johnny Halford, Ron Hutcherson, Bruce Hill, Sandy Satullo, Billie Harvey, Mark Martin, Jim Vaughn, Rick Roland, Jeff Purvis, Mike Wallace, Bob Strait, David Keith, Bobby Gerhart, Keith Segars, Blake Feese, Kraig Kinser, Frank Kimmel, Michael Annett and defending race winner Justin Allgaier.

There are a total of 28 different pole awards winners in ARCA RE/MAX Series competition at Talladega, including multiple awards winners Charlie Glotzbach (4), Tim Steele (3), Bill Venturini (3), Davey Allison (3), Billie Harvey (3), Bobby Gerhart (3), Grant Adcox (2), Rick Roland (2) and Patty Moise (2), along with single pole award winners Loy Allen, Jr., Jim Vandiver, Coo Coo Marlin, Woody Fisher, Ron Hutcherson, Jim Sauter, Sandy Satullo, Ralph Jones, Frank Kimmel, Jeff Purvis, Bob Schacht, Bob Strait, Kirk Shelmerdine, Kyle Busch, Bob Studdard, Dave Simko, Kraig Kinser, Bryan Clauson and James Buescher. There have been 18 ARCA RE/MAX Series races at Talladega Superspeedway won from the pole.
RICH HISTORY AT TALLADEGA
The ARCA RE/MAX Series began competition the first year the 2.66-mile tri-oval opened. The first event was the Oct. 26, 1969 Vulcan 500. The series held a 50-lap qualifying race in April of the next year, following it with another 500-mile event in July. The series did not compete at Talladega from 1971 through 1974. In 1975, the series returned and has raced here every year since. From 1975 to 1982, the race was known as the ARCA 200 (76 laps). From 1982 through 1991, there were two ARCA events held each year at the track, with the exception of an event cancelled due to weather in July, 1985. In 1992, the series began visiting the track only once a year.
ALABAMA NATIVES ATTEMPT TALLADEGA
A pair of drivers scheduled to compete in the ARCA RE/MAX Series 250 race at Talladega Superspeedway hail from the state of Alabama. Grant Enfinger of Fairhope, Ala. (No. 90) and Mike Harmon of Birmingport, Ala., will attempt to qualify for the race held on Friday, April 24, 2009.
OPEN TEST UNOFFICIAL RESULTS
19 ARCA RE/MAX Series drivers participated in an open test session at Talladega Superspeedway on April 8 & 9. Mark Thompson topped the speed charts, turning in a 51.030 second (187.654 mph) lap. Second was Patrick Sheltra with a 51.571, third was Bradley Riethmeyer with a 51.744, fourth was James Buescher with a 51.767 and Alabama’s own Grant Enfinger rounded out the top-5 with a 51.777-second lap.
