SPEED and Source Interlink Media have reached an agreement for a fifth season of the popular automotive program, Hot Rod TV. The deal calls for a minimum of nine new 30-minute original programs, with an opportunity to extend to 13 shows.

New episodes of Hot Rod TV, produced in partnership with Hot Rod Magazine, begin in April. Loaded with cool events and even cooler cars, Hot Rod TV takes viewers inside the automotive culture with an unparalleled mix of technical information, industry commentary and the latest trends.

One of the cornerstones of SPEED’s weekend “Engine Block” programming lineup, Hot Rod TV continues to be used across the entire SPEED schedule, including through marathons and prime-time airings.

“We are extremely pleased to be bringing another season of Hot Rod TV to SPEED viewers,” said Robert Ecker, SPEED VP of Programming. “The publication and the television production have proven to be the perfect complement, expanding a storied brand across multiple media platforms and providing various segments of the automotive community with compelling and entertaining content.”

Hot Rod Magazine, which began production in 1948, is the iconic publication of record for a community of car lovers who enjoy going faster and looking better than every other vehicle on the road.
