Lawson Aschenbach (No. 01 CKS Autosport Camaro) earned his first career Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge pole this morning at Barber Motorsports Park with a lap of 1:36.401 (85.891 mph), nudging Joe Foster (No. 55 Multimatic Motorsports Aston Martin) by a mere 0.160 seconds and breaking the GS track record.

Bret Spaude (No. 35 Subaru Road Racing Team) rounded out the top three. Five different manufacturers made up the top five positions in GS qualifying.

In ST Andy Lally (No. 10 Kinetic Motorsports KIA) earned his second consecutive pole, topping CJ Wilson Racing's Marc Miller and Glenn Bocchino (No. 30 i-MOTO Mazda Speed 3).
