GRAND-AM Road Racing announced today that it has suspended operation of the Performance Showcase, a competition for sub-compact race cars commonly known as “B-Spec.”
During the 2012 debut season, the showcase featured six events. The possibility of the showcase returning will be addressed in the future.

“B-Spec is a concept that is still developing,” said GRAND-AM President and CEO Ed Bennett. “And while car counts for our competition have not reached acceptable levels, the car specs are somewhat universal and eligible for entry into other U.S. series.

“We remain open to revisiting the competition at a later date and we want to express our appreciation for those showcase teams that raced with us this year, while also thanking our partners who were involved.”
