Joao Barbosa jumped to the top of the time charts in the second and final practice prior to qualifying for Saturday's Porsche 250, the second round of the GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series.

The Portuguese ace, aboard the No. 9 Action Express Corvette DP, turned a best time of 1:23.080, outpacing the No. 90 Spirit of Daytona Corvette of Richard Westbrook by a considerable 1.348 seconds.

While Chevy again led the way, it was two Ford-powered Rileys that slotted in third and fourth quickest overall. Rolex 24 runner-up Ryan Dalziel in the No. 8 Starworks machine edged out teammate Lucas Luhr in the 30-minute session.

Completing the top-five in class was the No. 5 Action Express Corvette of Darren Law.

Jeff Segal led the way in the GT ranks, with the No. 69 AIM Autosport Team FXDD Ferrari F458 Italia clocking a 1:30.379 lap time.

Eric Curran (Marsh Racing Corvette), Dane Cameron (Team Sahlen's Mazda), Andy Lally (TRG Porsche) and Steven Kane (Team Oryx Audi) made it five different marques in the top-five in class.

Qualifying is on tap for 10:40 a.m. CT.
