Chip Ganassi Racing led the way in the final practice before tomorrow's 51st Rolex 24 at Daytona.

IndyCar ace Scott Dixon topped the time sheets in the one-hour session, turning a best lap of 1:41.845 in his Target-sponsored No. 02 Riley-BMW.

Dixon edged out teammate Scott Pruett in the No. 01 Telmex Riley-BMW by 0.268 seconds. Pruett claimed pole on Thursday, leading a Ganassi 1-2 for the defending Rolex Sports Car Series champions.

Sebastien Bourdais put the No. 2 Starworks Riley-Ford third quickest in the session, with the two Action Express Racing Corvette DPs completing the top-five.

Following a BMW sweep in qualifying, GRAND-AM handed out a slightly larger air restrictor to the Chevrolet contingent this morning.

Quickest in the GT class on Friday was the No. 44 Magnus Racing Porsche of Nicolas Amindo, who reeled off a 1:48.258 lap time in the defending class-winning machine.

The GX category saw Ryan Eversley top the time charts in the No. 38 BGB Motorsports Porsche Cayman.

The only notable incident in the session came late, when the No. 93 Turner Motorsport BMW M3 suffered an off-course excursion, which ended the session four minutes early.

The 51st Rolex 24 at Daytona takes the green flag Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET. Follow all of the action either Live! on SPEED or SPEED.com.
