A pair of NASCAR stars will return to GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series competition next month for the series' highly anticipated debut at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Chip Ganassi Racing announced Friday that Juan Pablo Montoya and Jamie McMurray will share the wheel of the team's No. 02 Chevron-sponsored Daytona Prototype, a second Riley-BMW the Indianapolis-based team will field for the race.

Montoya and McMurray have been a part of Ganassi's efforts in the Rolex 24 at Daytona, which included a pair of victories for the Colombian in 2007 and 2008.

Additionally, both drivers have achieved success at the Brickyard, Montoya having won the Indy 500 in 2000 and McMurrary being victorious in the 2010 Brickyard 400. Ganassi is considered one of the most successful teams at Indy, having earned six victories between the two premier events.

“Partnering with a worldwide organization like Chevron and displaying their brand to motor racing on the world’s biggest racing stage is something we’re very proud of," Chip Ganassi said. "We previously enjoyed a long-standing relationship with Chevron’s Texaco brand in the sponsorship of NASCAR entries for both Juan and Jamie."

The No. 02 Riley-BMW will run alongside the team's season-long entry of Scott Pruett and Memo Rojas, who head into this weekend's two-hour race at Road America in the Daytona Prototype championship lead.
