Spirit of Daytona topped the time sheets in Thursday's second and final practice session for the Rolex Sports Car Series 250 Driven by VisitFlorida.com (Saturday, 12 p.m. ET, Live! SPEED).

Antonio Garcia, returning to the Troy Flis-led squad following the 24 Hours of Le Mans, posted a best time of 2:02.903 in his No. 90 Corvette DP. While it was more than four-tenths slower than Ryan Dalziel's pace-setting time from Practice 1, the time was still good enough for P1 in the 45-minute session.

The No 10 SunTrust Racing Corvette of Max Angelelli and Ricky Taylor wound up second, thanks to a 2:02.982 lap time, which was just 0.079 seconds from Garcia's best.

Defending Rolex Series champion, and current points leader, Scott Pruett was third in his No. 01 Ganassi Riley-BMW, while Colin Braun posted an impressive 2:04.105 lap time to go fourth quickest in his Gen-2 Starworks Motorsport Riley-Ford.

Braun's co-driver Scott Mayer, however, wasn't as fortunate, as the Wisconsin native went off into the Turn 1 gravel trap, which brought out a black flag (stoppage) late in the session.

Both of Starworks Gen-3 Riley-Fords, which paced the opening session, turned minimal laps, with the No. 2 machine of Alex Popow slotting in eighth in class after completing only three laps.

In GT, the No. 70 SpeedSource Mazda RX-8 led the way, thanks to Jonathan Bomarito's 2:12.150. It edged out the points-leading No. 69 AIM Autosport Team FXDD Ferrari of Jeff Segal by 0.381 seconds.

The No. 42 Team Sahlen's Mazda of Wayne Nonnamaker and Dane Cameron, which topped Practice 1, wound up third in class wiht a 2:13.144.

Twenty-three cars recorded time in the session.

Practice 3 is on tap for 10:45 a.m. CT Friday.
