With the Armor All Bathurst 12 Hour now less than one month away, preparations are fully underway for the endurance classic around Australia’s famed Mount Panorama on Feb. 24-26.

Last week, race organizers unveiled the latest entry list, which sees 32 cars from around the world, including ten in the premier GT3 category and a dozen international entries.

Leading the charge is Phoenix Racing, which has entered a pair of specially liveried Audi R8 LMS cars as the German manufacturer looks to repeat its 1-2 finish on the mountain last year.

Christer Jons, Christopher Mies and Darryl O’Young will share a black R8 LMS, decked out with the world-famous traffic sign of a kangaroo. A spider’s web covers the sister Audi, to be driven by Mark Eddy, Craig Lowndes and Warren Luff.

They won’t be the only Audis tackling the around-the-clock marathon, as United Autosports will make the trip Down Under with one of its R8 LMS cars for Mark Patterson, Alain Li and Frank Yu.

Other notable GT3 entries include the Maranello Racing Ferrari F458 Italia for Allan Simonsen and Dominik Farnbacher, while V8 Supercar star Tim Slade will join newly crowned Dubai 24 winner Jeroen Bleekemolen in Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 entered in conjunction with Black Falcon and Erebus Racing.

Gulf 12 Hours winner Matt Griffin will be aboard a Ferrari F458 Italia run by Clearwater Racing and V8 star Cameron McConville and Peter Kox are two notables in Consolidated Chemicals’ Lamborghini Gallardo.

For the first time, SPEED.com will have trackside coverage of the Bathurst 12 Hour, including photo galleries and an exclusive look behind the scenes at United Autosports’ efforts in the race.
