Following its sweep of the podium in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Audi announced its driver lineup for next month's Total 24 Hours of Spa, which feature a heavy factory presence.

Andre Lotterer and Marcel Fassler, fresh off their second consecutive overall victory at Le Mans will be joined by eight-time Le Mans winner Tom Kristensen, who will be making his debut in Audi's R8 LMS ultra.

In fact, next month's GT enduro, which doubles as a round of the Blancpain Endurance Series, will mark a number of firsts for the Le Mans legend.

"I’m hugely excited, because it’s something completely new for me," Kristensen said. "I’ve not driven the Audi R8 LMS ultra in a race before. And I haven’t actually ever competed in any other 24-hour race apart from Le Mans. Apart from that, I’ve only done round-the-clock competing twice, in a different discipline - and that was two cyclo-cross races on a mountain bike in Denmark."

The Ernst Moser-led team, which receives factory support, is fresh off victory in the Nurburgring 24, while the German manufacturer returns to Spa as defending race winners.

Audi Sport Team Phoenix will field a second R8 LMS ultra for Andrea Piccini, Rene Rast and Frank Stippler, while Belgian Audi Club Team WRT, which scored Audi's first 24-hour victory for the mid-engined super car last year, will again run two cars.

WRT's lineup consists of Christopher Haase, Christopher Mies and Stephane Ortelli, with Edward Sandstrom being joined by factory drivers Marco Bonanomi and Oliver Jarvis, who scored a podium finish in their Le Mans debuts earlier this month.

The Total 24 Hours of Spa is scheduled for July 28-29.
