DTM was where Schneider had most of his success - known as Mr. DTM. He had many highlights but picking his proudest moments is difficult for him.
"That is quite hard - everyone of my titles is a big achievement," he said. "In 1995, though, my first title was perfect and I finished every race, broke records...it was something really special."
As we see GRAND-AM and ALMS coming together the possibility of GT3 cars is there. Schneider is back and keen to race. He has already mentioned that Sebring and Daytona are races he would like to race. Further races like the Bathurst 12 Hour is also a possibility.
"It is honestly my wish to do the Bathurst 12 Hour...if there is a possibility I would love to do it," he added. "It is one race I have missed so far in my career and I would love to be there."
He has demonstrated his pace - dominating in the Australian GT Championship with Erebus Racing and if the changes to American motorsport allow, we may see him back racing in the blue-riband events of the American motor racing calendar.
