As revealed in a SPEED.com exclusive in October, the Lola name will live on under a new set of partners.

Lola Group Holdings Limited announced Monday that it has reached an agreement between Multimatic Engineering and longtime U.S. parts distributor, Carl A. Haas Automobile Imports, Inc., which will see the two companies provide engineering and spares support services for teams running Lola race cars.

The licensing arrangement, spearheaded by Lola's chairman and owner of the Lola brand, Martin Birrane, confirms that the Lola name and intellectual property rights will continue to be utilized.

“The news of this agreement comes at a very pivotal moment in Lola's history," Birrane said. "The economic downturn, which has caused difficulties for everyone in motorsport, has taken its toll on the Lola businesses. However, the Lola brand continues and this agreement with Multimatic and Haas ensures that the legacy of Lola's success on the track will endure."

Birrane was forced to put Lola into administration in May, for what was cited ongoing financial issues and the U.K. government's decision not to pay ongoing R&D tax credits. The company went into the hands of administrators CCW Recovery Solutions, with the remaining employees laid off in October after a buyer was not found.

Biranne, who has held close ties with both Carl Haas and Larry Holt of Multimatic, however, held control of the Lola brand and intellectual property rights through the constructor's administration.

"When I acquired Lola in 1997 I re-established the close bond between our companies off the track and also on it with the Newman/Haas Champ Car title success in 2002," Birrane added. "Multimatic have also been close allies in many projects and, like Haas, tasted success with a Lola product at Le Mans in 2000 with the first ever LMP 675 class win using the B2K/40 design. I'm looking forward to these renewed relationships and the benefits it brings to our customers."

Both Dyson Racing and Rebellion Racing are set to continue with Lola's B12/60 LMP1 car next year, with the cost-capped B12/80 LMP2 entries to be run by Status GP/HVM and Gulf Racing Middle East in the FIA World Endurance Championship. No word has been given on Dempsey Racing's plan for 2013.
