Firestone Indy Lights driver Ana Beatriz has been called up by A1 Team Brazil for the World Cup of Motorsport event at Algarve in Portugal this weekend.

Beatriz, the first female driver to score a win in the series, will drive the rookie sessions on the 4.96km Portimao Circuit. She last drove for the team at Shanghai in 2007.

"I was very happy and honored with Emerson (Fittipaldi's) invitation to drive the rookie sessions for A1 Team Brazil in Portugal. My first international event was with Brazil in Shanghai in 2007 and it was fantastic. It will be great to return with more experience and international knowledge. I am also very excited to drive the new car, and I hope to help the team start the weekend well.
