INDYCAR: 2012 TV Schedule Revealed
The 2012 season will have six of its 16 races on ABC, including the 96th Indy 500, while NBC Sports Network (formerly VERSUS) is televising the other 10 events.

The 2012 IZOD INDYCAR season will have six of its 16 races on ABC, including the 96th Indianapolis 500, while NBC Sports Network (formerly VERSUS) is televising the other 10 events.

ABC kicks off the season at St. Petersburg on March 26th before NBC follows with three consecutive races at Birmingham, Ala., Long Beach and Sao Paulo on its recently-launched all-sports cable outlet.

NBC will cover qualifying weekend on May 19-20 in addition to Carb Day on May 25 before ABC broadcasts Indy live for the 26th consecutive year.

The May classic kicks off five straight weekends of action as ABC covers the return to Detroit, NBC has the annual night race at Texas, ABC is taking the Saturday show at Milwaukee and NBC is set for Iowa.

ABC has the first half of the Canadian doubleheader at Toronto and NBC covers Edmonton while ABC’s final telecast will be at Mid-Ohio. NBC then does the final four races.
