INDYCAR: Barracuda Networks Returns With BHA
Indy 500-winning team owners Bryan Herta and Steve Newey have re-signed Barracuda Networks for 2013, and are close to finalizing Alex Tagliani's contract.

Bryan Herta and Steve Newey, owners of Bryan Herta Autosport, announced the return of Barracuda Networks as their primary sponsor for the 2013 IZOD IndyCar Season. The Silicon Valley-based IT company will also continue to serve as the team's namesake under the "Barracuda Racing" banner.

"Barracuda Networks has proven to be an ideal partner for Bryan Herta Autosport and our Barracuda Racing Indy car," said Herta. "In 2012 we achieved many milestones together, and we plan to build on those successes on and off the track together. Barracuda is well known for their performance, reliability, and quality and we are proud to represent the brand for a second year in the IZOD IndyCar Series. I know I speak for everyone at BHA when I say we cannot wait for the 2013 season to begin."

Michael Perone, Barracuda Networks' executive vice president and CMO, was encouraged by the team's performance in 2012, which led to a continuation of the the partnership with BHA.

"Barracuda Racing had an amazing 2012 season and we are looking forward to an even stronger one in 2013," he said. "The sense of teamwork, drive and focus on innovation is unparalleled and we are proud to be the primary sponsor and share that with our customers and partners around the world."

With Barracuda's involvement secured for 2013, the team tells SPEED.com they are close to finalizing Alex Tagliani's return to pilot the Honda-powered No. 98 entry.
