If there's such a thing as a just result in motorsports then we saw it here today.

Michael Andretti, who took a flyer as the last-minute promoter of this legendary oval, was rewarded accordingly as Ryan Hunter Reay drove the Sun Drop Dallara/Chevy into victory lane to give Andretti a double win as an estimated 22,000 fans cheered RHR and his boss.

Starting second and running in the front pack all afternoon, Hunter-Reay swept past Helio Castroneves and into the lead on Lap 142 and then held off Tony Kanaan and James Hinchcliffe on three restarts as Chevy broke Honda's three-race win streak by taking the top six spots on Saturday.

"It was really hard out there today, really hard and I've never worked so hard for a win so it was very gratifying to do it for Michael and these loyal fans,'' said Hunter-Reay, who scored a dominating win at The Milwaukee Mile in 2004 when he was in Champ Car.

"I had a good car, great pit stops and I was just trying to keep my tires under me until the time was right to strike.''

RHR also credit the track and fans for providing another great race.

"This is what short track racing is all about and we need Milwaukee..its our heritage," he said. "And these are great fans and we appreciate them."

Kanaan, the master of the restarts, didn't have anything for the winner but was happy with runner-up.

"I did something I never do, I try to protect my spot because I couldn't stay with Ryan,'' he said. "But it was a good race, a typical Milwaukee race.''

Hinchcliffe continued his impressive season for Andretti Autosport with an outside pass of Oriol Servia to claim the final spot on the podium.

"This wasn't as scary as Texas the last 30 laps but it kept me plenty busy,'' he said. "We are all stoked to be back in Milwaukee and I am really happy for Michael (Andretti). To have Chevy back in Winner's Circle with a podium sweep is a cool thing to be a part of."

Servia started 20th cand charged to fourth.

"I had all of my trust in the guys and they always give me a good car," he said. "They worked so hard overnight because we changed everything in the car with the wheelbase, roll centers, springs and cambers. As I joked, luckily they didn't change the driver and the engine, which were the only things left. Everything else was better and we had a good car."

Early leader and pole-sitter Dario Franchitti escaped injury after tangling with Ryan Briscoe and breaking his suspension.

Andretti also announced his group would be back in 2013 to promote the Milwaukee event.
