INDYCAR: Panel Named For Turbo Protest Hearing

INDYCAR, the sanctioning body for the IZOD IndyCar Series, announced that Hans Peter Kollmeier, Jack Snyder and Jim Voyles are serving as the three-person panel hearing the April 26 proceedings for a protest filed by General Motors regarding INDYCAR’s April 18 decision to approve the use of a 0.71 A/R compressor cover for the single turbocharger.

The panel consists of:

• Hans Peter Kollmeier, former head of the Engine and Powertrain development department at Mercedes-Benz Motorsport in Stuttgart, Germany
• Jack Snyder, attorney and member of the Board of Directors for the Indianapolis Motor Speedway
• Jim Voyles, partner at the law firm of Voyles Zahn & Paul

Pending the decision of the panel, the April 18 decision of INDYCAR shall not be stayed.
