Citing its recent results and its place outside the top 22 in the championship standings (which would have required the team to pay for its personnel to travel to South America for the next IndyCar race), and the desire to prepare to defend its win at the Indy 500, Lotus-powered Team Barracuda-BHA (Bryan Herta Autosport) announced it will miss Round 4 at Brazil, held April 28-29 on the streets of Sao Paulo.

"After not finishing the last 2 races & falling out of the top 22 in points, Team Barracuda-BHA has elected not to send our cars to Brazil next weekend," the team informed its followers via Twitter late Thursday night. "Instead, we will refocus on the Indy 500 and coming back stronger than ever."
