INDYCAR: Teams Preparing For Final Test Of 2012
17 drivers, including two rookies, will turn the final IndyCar laps of 2012 beginning this Tuesday at Sebring International Raceway.

The final laps of IZOD IndyCar Series activity will take place this week at Sebring International Raceway as 17 drivers make use of the Florida track before a testing ban is implemented through January 15th.
Last week's Chevy test at the Auto Club Speedway at Fontana marked the final oval run of the year for IndyCar teams, and with a chance to evaluate a few more road course items before engines go silent, Tony Kanaan expects his KV Racing team and new teammate Simona de Silvestro to benefit in many ways.
“This test will give Simona more experience with the team and our cars before we go into the holidays,” said the 2004 IndyCar Series champion. “You always go into a test with a bunch of things to try to make the car better or the driver more comfortable, so that’s a lot of what we’ll do.
“And we found some good things—some good directions—on setup and some development stuff when we tested at Barber so Simona and I will keep working on that together with the team at Sebring.
Kanaan also had a laugh at the thought of the three very different cars he’ll have driven in a one-week span.
“I just got back from the Brazilian Stock Car race, now I’m headed to Sebring to drive and Indy car tomorrow, and then I get right back on the plane to Brazil to race in the (12-hour Granja Viana) karting event. I’m a busy guy these days…”
KV Racing will be joined by A.J. Foyt Racing, Andretti Autosport, Barracuda Racing, Dale Coyne Racing, Ganassi Racing, Panther DRR, Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing, Sam Schmidt Motorsports, Sarah Fisher Hartman Racing and Team Penske.
RLL’s Graham Rahal kicked off the test today as rain began to fall, while rookies Conor Daly (Foyt) and Tristan Vautier (SSM) are scheduled to turn their first laps in an Indy car on Thursday.
