The date for next year's Le Mans 24 Hours has been pushed back by a week, following a realignment of the international motorsports calendar by the FIA.

The Automobile Club de l'Ouest confirmed Thursday that the 90th anniversary of the world's greatest endurance race will now run on June 22-23,2013, with the traditional test day also moved back one week to Sunday, June 9.

While not confirming the exact reason for the change, it's believed the Formula One Grand Prix of America in New Jersey will take place on June 16, the previous weekend held by Le Mans. The FIA has generally made an effort to avoid conflicts between F1 and the World Endurance Championship.

The complete 2013 FIA WEC calendar will be released during next month's Six Hours of Sao Paulo on Sept. 13-15.
