After enjoying a successful debut with the team last year, Jeroen Bleekemolen will return to Rebellion Racing in 2012.

The rapid Dutchman was confirmed Tuesday as one of the team's endurance drivers Tuesday, joining Andrea Belicchi and Harold Primat at the wheel of its second Lola-Toyota for the Twelve Hours of Sebring and 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Bleekemolen teamed with Neel Jani and Nicolas Prost to earn a sixth place overall finish at Le Mans last year, the highest-placed gasoline-powered LMP1 car in the twice-around-the-clock endurance classic.

"It’s great to be back with Rebellion Racing for the two classic endurance races," Bleekemolen said. "I am looking forward to aiming again for some great results. I already know all the people in the team from last year and I have two very strong teammates. I know the team has worked hard to improve the whole package since last year, so we should be strong."

Bleekemolen, who will also contest the American Le Mans Series with Black Swan Racing in LMP2, said he's been given permission from the Tim Pappas-owned squad to compete at Sebring with Rebellion. No word has been given on his replacement for the ALMS season-opener.

As reported by SPEED.com last week, F1 veteran Nick Heidfeld is expected to be named Rebellion's sixth driver on Thursday, possibly during the ACO's press conference in Paris to unveil its entry selections for the FIA World Endurance Championship and 24 Hours of Le Mans.
