Nick Heidfeld will contest the opening rounds of both the FIA World Endurance Championship and American Le Mans Series for Rebellion Racing, the team confirmed Monday.

The ex-F1 driver was named as the co-driver to Neel Jani in the Anglo-Swiss squad's No. 12 Lola B12/60 Toyota for the three opening ALMS races at Sebring, Long Beach and Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, as well as the WEC events at Silverstone, Spa and 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Nicolas Prost will reinforce the lineup for Sebring, Spa and Le Mans.

Rebellion's WEC-nominated No. 13 entry will see the lineup of Andrea Belicchi, Mathias Beche and CongFu Cheng at Sebring, Silverstone, Spa and Le Mans.

The driver lineups post-Le Mans remains unclear, especially with two clashing events between the WEC and ALMS calendars.

Rebellion committed to one full-season Lola-Toyota LMP1 entry in both championships.
