LE MANS: JRM Making Progress On HPD Build
British squad working around the clock to get new HPD ARX-03a ready in time for 60th Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring...

With less than two weeks to go before the 60th Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring, a number of teams are working flat out in preparation for the FIA World Endurance Championship season-opener, including JRM Racing.
The British squad, which was the third and final team to announce plans to run Honda Performance Development's new ARX-03a this year, took delivery of its LMP1 challenger on Feb. 24 and has worked around the clock to get it ready in time for Sebring.
Unlike some other manufacturers, the new Wirth-designed HPDs have been delivered unassembled, giving teams the opportunity to work alongside HPD employees and build their new prototypes from the ground-up.
“We’ve been working to a tight schedule, but everything is going according to plan," said team manager and chief engineer Nigel Stepney. "We’re really looking forward to getting it on the track when we get to the States, and I’m confident we can make a good impression in the race."
JRM's car is scheduled to leave for Florida via London Heathrow on Tuesday, with its first laps coming during the pre-race test and practice sessions at the famed former airfield circuit.
While the team has finalized its livery (see above), all three drivers: David Brabham, Peter Dumbreck and Karun Chandhok visited JRM's workshop in Rye this weekend for seat fittings and to take a look at the car for the first time.
JRM will be joined by Strakka Racing and Muscle Milk Pickett Racing in debuting the latest-generation HPD LMP1 car at Sebring this month.
