Newly crowned FIA WEC GTE-Am champions Larbre Competition has dropped its case to the FIA International Court of Appeal, following the exclusion of its Corvette C6.R from September's Six Hours of Sao Paulo.

The French squad's No. 50 entry of Fernando Rees, Julien Canal and Patrick Bornhauser was excluded from the Brazilian round due to a ride-height infringement, allegedly triggered by an opening lap accident, which damaged the front of the Corvette.

As a result, the team lost its class victory in the race, which put a significant dent in their championship hopes at the time.

However, with Larbre having clinched the championship following last month's season-ending Six Hours of Shanghai, team boss Jack Leconte has elected to withdraw the appeal, in agreement with the FFSA and ACO.

“We wish to clear the decks to allow everyone to get on with preparing for the second season of the WEC in 2013 and so have decided to turn the page,” Leconte said.

The team appears set to return with its Corvette C6.Rs, with a visit to Pratt & Miller scheduled for early next month. A final decision on Larbre's 2013 plans, tabbed for either WEC or ELMS, will be announced on January 1.
