The newest LMP2 car is set to take part in the FIA World Endurance Championship this year, with the Kodewa Lotus team announcing a two-car entry with the new Lotus T128.

Confirmation of the program by the German squad came Thursday, one day after entry requests for the WEC and 24 Hours of Le Mans were due to the ACO.

Lotus LMP2 will campaign two of the all-new entries, with Thomas Holzer and American Kevin Weeda as the nominated drivers. Both were a part of the team's lineup last last year when it ran a pair of Lola B12/80 Lotus entries. Further drivers are reported to be in discussion with the team.

The car, designed by Munich-based Adess AG, is set to break cover in the coming weeks after nearly a two-month production delay.
