LE MANS: Pescarolo 03 Debut Delayed Until LM24

On the heels of Toyota's withdrawal from next month's Six Hours of Spa-Franchorchamps comes today's announcement that Pescarolo Team's new self-built prototype will also not make the second round of the FIA World Endurance Championship season.
The Pescarolo 03 Judd, designed around the Aston Martin AMR-One tub, has faced a holdup in production due to "delayed payment deadlines" from its major partner, which consequently "blocked the delivery of some important elements from suppliers in England," according to a team statement.
It means that the No. 16 entry of Jean-Christophe Boullion, Emmanuel Collard and Julien Jousse will not take part in Belgian enduro and will instead debut its new car at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in June.
The trio finished third in the LMP1 class and sixth overall at Sebring utilizing last year's grandfathered Pescarolo 01 Judd, which was given a one-race only waiver by the FIA WEC Endurance Commission to race.
Pescarolo Team, which currently leads the FIA Trophy for the top privateer team in LMP1, will still be present at Spa with its Dome S102.5 Judd for Sebastien Bourdais and Nicolas Minassian. The two Frenchmen will be joined by Seiji Ara for Le Mans, the second and final race in the Japanese car's announced program.
The withdrawal of the Pescarolo 03 Judd brings the Spa entry list down to 41 starters, although it's believed additional teams from the European Le Mans Series could soon be confirmed for the dress rehearsal to the twice-around-the-clock classic.
