With construction of its second TS030 Hybrid tub complete, Toyota will return to the track to continue its testing and development program this week, the Japanese manufacturer announced.

Toyota was forced to withdraw from this weekend's Six Hours of Spa-Francorchamps FIA World Endurance Championship round after its one-and-only chassis at the time was destroyed in a testing accident at Paul Ricard.

A total of seven test days were canceled in April as a result, as the factory squad raced to prepare its second tub for action.

The team has scheduled a "functionality test" of the new car for Friday at Magny-Cours.

“I would like to express my thanks to the staff members at Toyota Motorsport GmbH who have worked so hard to deliver our second monocoque ahead of schedule," said team president Yoshiaki Kinoshita. "Now we have a very intense testing program to prepare for Le Mans, beginning with an initial functionality test to shakedown our systems.”

Despite the setback, Toyota has reaffirmed its commitment to enter two LMP1 entries for the 24 Hours of Le Mans, where its new gasoline-hybrid will now make its competitive debut.
