ALMS fans will recall Turner and Enge's time spent stateside as pilots during Aston Martin's full season debut in 2006 in the ALMS Championship. The team won five out of 10 races and narrowly missed out on the championship title.

In 2007, for the first time since 1959, Aston Martin triumphed at Le Mans.

The winning Aston Martin Racing with InterContinental Hotels & Resorts DBR9 – numbered 009 – was driven to GT1 class victory and a remarkable fifth overall by David Brabham, Rickard Rydell and Darren Turner after 24 hours of non-stop competition.

Aston Martin Racing returned to Le Mans in 2008 with the 009 DBR9 of David Brabham, Antonio Garcia and Darren Turner claiming another GT1 win in the distinctive blue and orange livery of Gulf Oil.

The team heads back to La Sarthe this year with a fleet of LMP1 cars, but not before the UK-based program readies their effort by competing in the LMS.
