Put in the conflicting spot of being both boss and father, Michael Andretti admitted to feeling conflicted about the future of son Marco after the 19-year-old made a solid first Formula 1 test with the Honda team last week.

Running at the Jerez circuit in Spain, Marco completed 67 trouble-free laps and ended up just two seconds off the pace of Christian Klien, Honda Racing's regular test driver.

"Of course as a father if he wants to pursue F1 then I would be happy for him," the former F1 driver for McLaren in 1993 told autosport.com. "But as a team owner, it is not that easy. He
is an asset to the team. He is a true championship contender, and he has a high value to the series as well. So I have to think long and hard about it. It will be a difficult decision."

Although Marco confessed that F1 is a "dream" of his after the test, the youngster has two more years to go in his contract with Andretti Green Racing in the IndyCar Series.

"I am not sure what Marco wants to do at the moment, but he is definitely more focused on what he is doing now. [But] I am glad he enjoyed it. He made no mistakes and tested some components for the team, so I am very proud. I am glad I came over."
