Robb Holland, of Denver, Colo., announced that he will contest the remainder of the 2007 SCCA Pro Racing SPEED World Challenge GT Championship in a K-PAX Porsche 911 GT3. Holland will drive the third Porsche of the K-PAX/3R Racing effort, joining veteran drivers Michael Galati and Randy Pobst.

"I went to Long Beach and talked to some people about getting into a GT car and when Bob [Raub of 3R Racing] and Jim [Haughey of K-PAX Racing] heard about it we sat down and talked," said Holland of the move into SPEED GT. "They told me that they had a third Porsche and that they would love to have me run it with them!"

The move keeps Holland with both his existing sponsor Motorsports Gallery of Denver and the 3R Racing Team that fielded the Dodge SRT-4 Robb raced in the World Challenge Touring Car Series.

Holland's major sponsor is the Motorsports Gallery, a high-end performance car dealer in Denver, Colo., that sells everything from exotic street cars to shifter karts and driver apparel.

"If it has four wheels and a steering wheel, Motorsports Gallery
does it and does it better than anyone," said Holland.

"This is definitely a step up in terms of the car and my teammates [Galati and Pobst], but I think that the level of competition was just as high in Touring Car as I expect it to be in GT," Holland said of the transition from Touring Car to GT.

After one test session and some test time today at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah, Holland indicated that it wasn't that big a deal going from the front-wheel drive Dodge to the rear-engined rear-drive Porsche, but admitted, "the hardest part is adjusting to a completely different driving style. I need to get away from the Touring Car mentality where it is all about momentum."

Robb Holland will join the K-PAX duo of Michael Galati and Randy Pobst as SCCA Pro Racing's SPEED World Challenge GT Championship Series begins Round Three at Miller Motorsports Park with practice on Thursday, May 17th.

Saturday's 50-minute sprint race, which is set to begin on Saturday, May 19 at 9:45 a.m., will be broadcast on SPEED, Sunday, May 27 at 5:00 p.m. ET.
