The Snap-on Stars of Karting series announced the address and location for the Western division finale to be held August 22-24. Located on a temporary circuit close to the new Pacific Grand Prix facility, competitors and spectators will have the ease of access to hotels, restaurants and entertainment of the greater Seattle area

As previously announced, Snap-on Stars of Karting series officials held off as long as possible on the exact location in the hopes of securing property on site at the new Pacific Grand Prix kart track. Though back up plans of moving the event North of the border or postponing the event were pondered, series officials decided to go on as planned with the event due to the large number of entries and travel plans that had already been made by competitors in proximity to the Sea-Tac International Airport.

The
temporary course will be adjacent to an 800,000 square foot industrial park and will be constructed on asphalt with an excellent surface utilizing a .62 mile track and 625 foot straightaway. The nine-corner course will be more compact providing for tight, good quality racing.

“We are excited to host the upcoming Western Division finale,” stated series President Paul Zalud. “There are several divisional championships on the line and we feel that the track design will suit the great racing action that is always provided at our series events.”

Zalud went on to add, “Other sites were contemplated but the quality of the racing surface was not acceptable or we could not acquire enough room for our needs. Our number one goal is to take care of the needs of our series competitors.”
