Enzo Potolicchio's new 8Star Motorsports squad debuted Friday at Daytona International Speedway, in preparation for this month's Rolex 24.


Friday marked the dawn of a new race team, as the wraps came off 8Star Motorsports, the new Corvette DP squad owned by Sebring and Le Mans class winner Enzo Potolicchio.

The Venezuelan racer has assembled an all-star cast of drivers for the Florida-based team's debut, with ex-Peugeot drivers Stephane Sarrazin, Anthony Davidson, Pedro Lamy and Nic Minassian joining Potolicchio in quest of victory in this month's Rolex 24.

SPEED.com will be following the progress of 8Star throughout the entire Rolex Sports Car Series season and check in with the drivers following an encouraging opening day of testing at Daytona International Speedway. See what Potolicchio, Sarrazin, Davidson and Lamy had to say after their first laps.
