While it may not be in action this weekend, there is plenty to look forward to for CORE autosport's new Porsche program, which is set to debut later this spring.

The two-time and defending PC class champions have expanded their efforts into the highly competitive GT ranks this year, fielding a Porsche 911 GT3 RSR for factory driver Patrick Long and three-time Le Mans class winner Tom Kimber-Smith, beginning as early as the third round of the season at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.

Both drivers check into SPEED.com to give their thoughts on the new effort and what they're hoping to deliver later this year.
