The rain stopped just long enough on Friday afternoon to allow IndyCar driver Danica Patrick to officially turn laps in an ARCA car at Daytona International Speedway. During Patrick's four-lap stint she managed a best lap of 176.142 miles per hour around the historic 2.5-mile Florida superspeedway. That put her 12th-fastest among the 26 drivers setting times in the abbreviated afternoon session after rain completely washed out morning activities.
