While Audi and Toyota continue their fight in the FIA World Endurance Championship with hybrid powertrains, Dyson Racing debuted a hybrid system of its own in last weekend's American Le Mans Series race at Virginia International Raceway.

Utilizing Flybrid's KERS system, an 'off-the-shelf' hybrid solution first seen from Hope Racing in the ILMC last year, Dyson has made the leap forward to the cutting-edge technology after months of development.

Tobias Knichel, of Flybrid Systems, explains the technology behind the hybrid system, in the latest video feature, courtesy of Dyson Racing.
