The No. 22 United Autosports Audi R8 LMS had an early end to Sunday's Armor All Bathurst 12 Hour, as the Mark Patterson, Alain Li and Frank Yu-driven GT3 contender suffered an accident in Hour 3 when battling changing weather conditions.

Despite having the upper hand in strategy and maximizing the car's fuel efficiency, the Anglo-American squad had to call it quits early on due to unrepairable chassis damage to the mid-engined sports car.

Patterson, Yu and managing director/co-owner Richard Dean check into SPEED.com following the disappointing end to the weekend.
