Pick no more than 4 drivers, top 2 picks count. Points are by the standard NASCAR points system as listed on http://www.racing-reference.info. You can go there yourself to see how you did or double check if you think I got your points wrong.

Make your picks before the start of the race. And don't edit them after the race is over. Remember, honour system!

NEW: You won't be able to pick the same driver in back-to-back races. So whoever you pick this weekend you can't pick any of them for the next. This should make it less likely that everyone picks the same drivers for every race.

If you do pick drivers in back-to-back weeks then not only will they not count for that race but the next race as well.

Bonus points:

1-2 finish - 25 points

Perfect picks (A 1-2 finish in which both drivers leads laps and one leads the most laps) - 50 bonus points.

1-2-3 finish - 100 points

1-2-3-4 finish - 200 points

Dodge and Chevy leaving NASCAR? Not Yet

The three major car racing circuits -- Formula One, NASCAR, and Indy Car -- have built a multibillion dollar business. Formula One revenue, including sponsorships and broadcast fees, is estimated at $3.9 billion a year, which is more per event than either the NFL or The Premier League of soccer clubs. Toyota has elected to pull out of Formula One because of cost considerations. The world's largest car company has lost money for more than a year. Reuters estimates that Toyota has spent $300 million per year on its Formula One campaign. Honda (HMC) pulled its cars from the circuit earlier this year.
The Toyota retreat can be added to news that the Obama Administration has pressured Chevy and Dodge to pull out of the NASCAR racing series to save $250 million a year. The two companies have been pillars of NASCAR and there are no other auto firms with large enough budgets to replace them.(MSN's Money Central blog by Top Stocks writer Douglas A. McIntyre, an editor at 24/7 Wall St), however, both GM/Chevy and Dodge reps have said over and over, that both Chevy and Dodge are committed to the sport, for at least 2010 anyway. See my Dodge News page and Chevy News page for those statements.(11-5-2009 Jayski.com)

Yes it would've saved money and "Win on Sunday, sell on Monday" isn't what it used to be....but the Government barging in on NASCAR....really? I thought it was just a rumor last spring. Wow.

But I guess that's what you get for dealing with the devil that is Washington.

I read these forums and I just shake my head. When they plate race, it's twice as bad.

Everyone complains about the "Big One". So NASCAR does the smart thing, and warns drivers not to bump draft in the corners. DUH. Then everyone complains because NASCAR isn't letting them slam into each other in the corners and create lots of Big Ones.

Then, there's Big Ones caused by, huh hmmm, bump drafting. And everyone complains that they had a Big One. Then they complain that the rest of the race was boring. Because there was no bump drafting, which sometimes causes Big Ones.

Eyeyeyeyeyeyeyeyeye!!!!

You sit and watch a 500 mile race, and complain that it's too long. You knew it was 500 miles long, why did you sit there and watch it? So you can complain that drivers use STRATEGY in a 500 mile race? Because that makes sense.

Then we complain about the restrictor plate. What a stupid idea. Of course of cars went in the stands and mauled 15 or 20 people on network TV, everyone would complain that NASCAR should have prevented that, and now we have no racing to watch anymore.

Ahhh, but it would be better if they did this and this, and drive up the costs. And NASCAR really needs to do something about the richest teams winning races too!!! I chose my nickname because you make my head spin.

The common car is evil and wicked. Trying to make the racing better by giving everyone the same equipment. And OMG it's killing the sport with one team winning races and championships. wow

They're stupid for limiting testing and impounding cars after qualifying. And, they need to do more to help the underdog. Incredible.

You know what? NASCAR should spend millions of dollars to knock down the banking at Daytona and Talladega, make them more like Michigan and California. But California needs to lose a date because the racing there is boring. wow

Maybe NASCAR just isn't your sport. Maybe you'd prefer short races, win-to-get-in, cars that put on a great side-by-side show no matter what track they're at, or what condition it's in.

Tune in Saturday night and take in some dirt late model racing.

And the first person who says the cars should have stock bodies and front wheel drive will be tied to a chair and forced to watch 36 straight hours of econo stocks...
